Kathleen has intertwined Education, Fashion Design, Retail, and Beauty Consulting for twenty eight years. Kathleen also resides on the Chicago History Museum Costume Council, Mayor's Fashion Council, Advisory Board for Sanford-Brown College, Apparel Industry Board and FGI Project Scholarship Committee.

Jenny Applegate is a Certified Personal Stylist and Image Consultant. She is the founder of The Leading Image, which is a Personal Styling and Image Consulting company for men and women. Her goal is to help clients develop a wardrobe that is workable & wearable - as well as stylish – for any age, body type, lifestyle or budget. She has received degrees from Illinois Wesleyan University, Parsons, The New School for Design and Fashion Institute of Technology. Jenny has had the opportunity to train from and work for Stacy London of TLC’s hit show What Not To Wear. She has also worked as a stylist with elite brands: Simon Malls, Westfield, Saks Off 5th, Match.com, and Style for Hire. Jenny has been featured in Shape magazine, Jezebel, The Huffington Post and more.
Owner, Virtual Technical Designer
Lacey launched Fireflyline in 2015 to provide technical services and process improvements to those creating cut & sew goods. Fireflyline focuses on 3D virtual prototypes and consults with companies to find the best technology solutions to solve problems. Lacey holds a Master of Science in Project Management. She spent several years leading apparel technical design teams, where she found many opportunities for process improvement and leveraging technology. Her goal is to remove any pain from product development so designers, pattern-makers, and technical designers can focus on their passions.
Sharon Bosco joins the Chicago board with years of wholesale account management experience from major fashion houses in New York, including BCBG Max Azria Group and Fendi. She most recently held the role as Director of Merchandising & Buying for Perchance Boutique. Sharon and her husband welcomed their first child to their family in October 2014.

Dana Connell is the Associate Department Chair and a tenured Associate Professor in Fashion Studies at Columbia College Chicago where she has taught for more than 20 years. She earned her BA in Fashion Merchandising and an MBA in Marketing at Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business. Dana is also the author of A Buyer’s Life: A Concise Guide to Retail Planning and Forecasting, which was developed as a framework for teaching basic retail buying concepts which were honed through her 25 plus years in corporate retail. She brings her background in retail store management, merchandising, and buying into the classroom where students apply concepts into real world activities and experiential learning. Throughout her retail career, she received numerous awards for financial performance, in-store execution, and exceptional customer service with retailers such as Marshall Field’s, Neiman Marcus, and Mark Shale. Dana also serves numerous organizations where her fashion business, organizational, and strategic visioning skills are utilized to benefit those in need.
Pamela Dittmer McKuen
Journalist and Author
Pamela is an independent journalist and author who specializes in home, fashion and travel. Her bylines have appeared in the Chicago Tribune plus dozens of consumer, trade, association, corporate and collegiate publications. She is co-author of the tween fashion guide, “Expressionista: How to Express Your True Self Through and Despite Fashion.”

Alex Duffy of Duffy Dossier is the life and style behind DuffyDossier.com. She is the founder of the fashion website which has been online since 2013. Her goal in starting Duffy Dossier was to teach herself how to utilize social media as a creative outlet, little did she know it was going to take on a brand of it's own! Duffy Dossier, the brand, sets forth a unique voice in today's modern fashion industry. Alex pulls inspiration for her blogged outfits from various decades, but specifically the 1990s. Her followers say she's "The 90s Professional." Yearly, she attends and reports on New York Fashion Week, to keep herself and her readers on their stylish toes. Alex currently lives in Chicago with her cat Leo.

Karen Ehrisman is a city girl at heart. As a lifelong Chicagoan, she brings a love of all things Chicago and Macy’s to her role as Tourism Marketing Manager for the Midwest Region, including the State Street and Water Tower Place stores. As a graduate of Columbia College, Chicago, with a versatile career in marketing for retail and fashion, Karen is passionate about building partnerships and promoting Macy’s as the ultimate shopping destination. Away from Macy’s, you can find Karen exploring the many hidden gems of the city and suburbs, cheering on Chicago’s sports teams, traveling, spending time with family and friends and of course, shopping at Macy’s!

Florinda Fiore is the Showroom Manager at the Fine Fabric Sales Showroom. Within this role she also is a Sales Representative of 17 different lines of wholesale fabric, lace, trim, buttons, etc. She works with many talented fashion designers that are ready to launch their line. Florinda loves to inspire designers and guide them in their fabric selections for their next collections. She also has a wide range of experience in the fashion industry from producing fashion shows and events, to fashion styling and retail sales management.

Lisa is the cosmetics retail manager for CHANEL, with expertise in specialty store and department store environments. She has been in her current position with CHANEL for over 10 years, and was with Estee Lauder for 7 years prior. She also has five years in Corporate Communications experience at Kraft Foods. Additionally, she is a licensed cosmetologist.

Bridget Halanski is a licensed talent agent, representing over 100 Runway Models based both here in Chicago and other major US Markets. She books these men and women for fashion shows, trunk shows, and other live events all over the world. Bridget started her career as a Booker at Irene Marie Model Management in Miami Beach. In 2008, she relocated to the Windy City where she spearheads the Runway and Promotional Division at Elite (now Factor) guiding and managing the careers of top models.

Xochil is a professional pattern maker and production manager for multiple brands under her freelance business. She has 10 years of experience in the fashion industry in design, material sourcing, pattern development and manufacturing. Her speciality is in active wear and knit apparel for women and men, and she also has experience with accessories and handbags. She also works as a tailor alongside fashion stylists and on photo shoots for companies such as Land's End and Kohl's, and publications including In Style and Men's Health.

Diana Muzzy is the owner of the Fine Fabric Sales Showroom. She began her career in fashion working with her brother to develop a bicyling short, and had a successful business for many years. She later moved to Chicago and began working with fabric companies as a sales representative, which eventually grew into opening her own showroom to house all of the lines. Diana has been a long time member of FGI Chicago, joining 22 years ago. She is passionate about the industry and connecting her clients with resources and materials they need to succeed.

With a career dedicated to marketing and event planning within the retail and fashion sectors, Melinda is currently the Marketing and Events Manager for WPP’s retail division, The Store, planning Global Retail Conferences around the world. She has also worked for Gap, Inc in corporate real estate as well as Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc in both the Design Center and Apparel trade show divisions. She resides in Chicago with her 8-year old twins and in her spare time reads fashion and interiors blogs.

Darcy Rogers is Co-Owner of Blue Ella, a consulting firm providing retail solutions to start-up's and companies looking to retool their business. Her past experience building Oprah Winfrey's retail division, and 10 years working for Ralph Lauren in Chicago and London, lend solid retail experience to her current entrepreneurial venture. Hoosier-born and a Purdue grad, she loves living in the Midwest and making Chicago home the past fourteen years.
Model-turned-agent DAVID SANCHEZ is changing the face of talent representation through a deep understanding and hand-on approach of artist development, helping each and every client find their voice within the industry. With 18 years of experience, both in front of and behind the camera, David saw that the one-dimensional modeling and talent industry was due for a change. He founded 10 MGMT to create an agency that really listened to the needs and passions of his clients, in turn, creating successful career paths for burgeoning talent to thrive in. David also is an Adjust Faculty Professor teaching Entrepreneurship at Columbia College Chicago.

Victoria R. Watkins currently works for the City of Chicago in Mayor Emanuel’s Office of Legislative Counsel and Government Affairs. Victoria serves as legislative counsel for the Administration, leading the City's efforts on all state government-related initiatives. Prior to joining the City, she served as Assistant Counsel to House Speaker Madigan, advising State Representatives on legislation and procedure. In addition to her legislative law work, Victoria counsels, researches, and writes on fashion law, entertainment and sports law, copyrights and trademarks, and other related fields. She is the Chief Editor and Creator of B.A.F.F.L.E.D. (Business Advice, Fashion Facts, Law & Entertainment Domain), a lifestyle blog on the topics she loves most. She has spoken on panels on fashion law for the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, John Marshall Law School Fashion Law Society, and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events during Fashion Focus Chicago. Victoria is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and earned her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law.
